Interpretation guardrails

EDA/GSR/SCR outputs describe electrodermal dynamics; HR/IBI/HRV/PPG outputs describe cardiovascular or pulse-derived dynamics; pupil and gaze measures describe oculomotor/visual allocation signals; signal-derived respiratory outputs are proxies. None of these directly establish emotion, stress, preference, cognition, health status or diagnosis.

Pupil measures are strongly affected by luminance and visual context. Statistical residualization does not prove a uniquely cognitive mechanism. Automated models and external-library bridges must be interpreted against the study design and their own assumptions.
